Before your dog joins our regular grooming schedule, they’ll undergo an assessment groom. This allows us to get to know each other better and ensure that we’re the perfect fit for one another. It’s our way of guaranteeing that your dog receives the personalised care and attention they deserve.
If your dog requires extra time, care & attention for example due to excessive matting, age or behaviour, this will be charged @ $80/hr.
48 hour appointment reminders are sent out to all clients.
24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations. Less than sufficient notice may result in 50% payment of your missed appointment fee to be settled prior to your next appointment.
All new client bookings require a $50 booking fee , this is refundable if more than 24 hours notice is given for cancellations.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your allocated appointment time it may be automatically cancelled and 100% of the grooming fee will be required to be settled prior to your next appointment.

We accept puppies once they have been fully vaccinated. This is usually around 16 weeks of age. We suggest that your puppy has at least 2-3 puppy introduction appointments before they have length off the body. This way they have a chance to build a relationship and trust with us. Remember the younger you get your puppy started the better. We can also then work out the best grooming schedule to suit your dogs coat type and your lifestyle.
The Yuppy Puppy Day Spa operates on an appointment basis with appointments made according to the service and needs your dog requires. We aim to have your dogs grooming process finished within a 2-4 hour period.
We will ask you to come into the salon for a consultation so we can ascertain whether we can safely remove the matting without the risk of injury or whether you will need to go to a groomer that works out of a vet for your dogs safety. Unfortunately once your dog reaches the point of being matted there is no other option but to shave the coat off and start again. Shaving off a matted coat is not the easy option, removing a matted coat safely requires expertise and skill and your dogs safety is of the utmost importance.
The Yuppy Puppy Team are all dog lovers and dog owners. Never will we put your dog in a situation where they feel they can’t cope. Your dogs safety and welfare is of the utmost importance. We treat every dog as an individual and as such they are housed while with us in accordance with their needs. For OHS reasons we don’t have dogs running feely around the salon for their safety and ours. If your dog is not happy in a crate we have a puppy playroom that they can utilize or they will be personally minded one on one with a trained staff member.
